AWAKE Festival is a festival for music, art and holiday lovers. Our story begins between the 1st and 3rd of September 2017, on the Teleki Castle estate from Gornesti, near Tirgu Mures. In just a few days we will open the first edition’s gates, who brings in the heart of Transylvania dozens of international artists like Tom Odell, Modestep, Knife Party, Aeroplane but also Hungarian and Romanian bands like Mary PopKids, Subcarpati, Golan, Jurjak or Les Elephants Bizarres. Spectacular desings, creative activities, work of arts, playgrounds, diverse restaurants and bars will be arranged in one of the most spectacular parks in Romania and promise a complete festival experience.
Schedule
On Friday the festival starts at 15:00 and lasts until 6:00, and Saturday and Sunday it will happen between 11:00 – 6:00.
The is about 3 full days of concerts and parties:
- 1st of September: Knife Party, Aeroplane, Mary PopKids, T-Boys, Mary Popkids, Golan, The Kriptonite Sparks, Disco Sigaretta, Norunegru, Reality Engine, Manuel Riva, Ma:tei;
- 2nd of September: Modestep, Subcarpați, Mazde, Irie Maffia, Arme, Jurjak, Dj Shiver, sZempol Offcherstra, Gojira & Planet H, Greetings Sugar, Jinxy von D’ers;
- 3rd of September: Tom Odell, Dirtyphonics, Axel Thesleff, Kiscillag, Suie Paparude, Coma, Les Elephants Bizarres, Alex Dark, Dj Sauce, Dobix.

Camping
The camping area allows access of participants starting from Friday, at 10:00 to Monday at 12:00.
Transport
You can get to the festival by:
- Bus – Special Buses that will departure every 20 minutes from Tirgu Mures to Gornesti and back, everyday of the festival between 15:00 – 4:00. Price of a ticket is 5 lei. The buses leave from the Piata Garii bus station.
- Car – from DN15 there are approximately 25 minutes to destination. There are parking spaces near the camping area. There will be signs to direct you to it.
- Bicycle or motorcycle. For bicycles there will be special parking spaces at the festival entrance. More than that, Unda Verde and the Mures Community Foundation prepared a special trail for the ones that want to ride to Awake. The #RideToAwake trail starts at “La Plopi” area, from the Mures shore, on Friday, the 1st of September, starting with 16:00. We recommend every rider brings its own bike locks.

Accomodation
Depending on each personal’s comfort, the AWAKE audience will be able to choose a hotel close to the Teleki estate, either a tent in the AWAKE camping, for a complete festival experience. In case you don’t have a tent already, there will be tents being let at the festival, for more information you can access the Accomodation page on the festival’s website.
Tickets
Festival passes and day tickets can still be purchased www.eventim.ro and partner shops, at the pre-sale price, 181 lei or 205 lei with camping – for 3 days access, and 79 lei for one day access. Tickets will also be available at the festival entrance at the price of 201 lei for 3 days and 99 lei for one day.
Children under 12 years old have free access if they are accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Underage teens with ages between 12 and 17 have access based on a valid ticket, accompanied by an adult with the same type of pass.
Access rules
Access at the festival will be permitted only with valid ticket/ pass, for only one person, only one time.
At the festival entrance, tickets will be changed into wristbands, depending on the type of presented ticket (pass or day ticket). In case the wristband is lost, transferred or damaged, access in the festival can be denied. For the 3 day passes, the wristband received at the entrance must be kept for the duration of the entire festival, because the access will be permitted only if you’re wearing it.
There is only on access, the main access that can be seen on the festival map (http://2017.awakefestival.ro/map).
In the festival area the access will be PROHIBITED with the following items: drinks and food bought from the outside the festival grounds, glass objects (including perfume, any other glass objects and deodorant), plastic bottles, alcohol cans, food cans, fireworks, stick supported banners, sprays, lasers, chairs, weapons, objects that can hurt anyone, chains, umbrellas, pets, bulky bags, professional cameras or video cameras of any types, Go Pros or selfie sticks.
In the festival are the access will be PERMITTED with the following items: compact photo cameras, lighters, motorcycling helmets, medicine (only if they have prescription and doctors approval letter or any other replacement documents), insulin, spray for asthma.
In case of rain, access with umbrellas is prohibited, participants are recommended to use rain cloaks.
The organizers insist that any prohibited objects should be left at home or in the car. Don’t forget to bring important objects such as thick clothing for chilly weather, or special medicine with prescription.
In camping, access is prohibited with: weapons or objects that are considered dangerous, glass objects, inflammable materials, pets, pens with lasers, gas canisters, any machines that work on benzene or petrol, hookahs.
Access with alcohol in camping area is permitted, only if the container is not made of glass and exceeds 2L/person quantity for beer or wine and 0.75L/person for strong drinks.
For the safety of the public and the smooth unfolding of the event, participants are asked to present their items and accept control when security agents ask.
Payment at the festival
At the festival, the Festicard system will be used. The card can be topped up with cash or credit card at the cash points within the festival. Refund will be available until the end of the festival, on Monday, 12:00.
Other general info
The organizers don’t take responsibility for the lost, stolen or damaged purchased tickets, these will be in under the consumers responsibility.
Uploading pictures of the tickets on the internet is prohibited.
Selling or buying “free tickets”, or selling overprized tickets is prohibited. The organizers have the right to punish the ones who complete this kind of activities, but also cancel their tickets.
The organizers have the right to use photograhies or video recordings with the participants of the event, with promotional purposes. The audience is agreeing – by attending the event – to give copyrights to the organizers, for all the pictures and videos taken and recorded during the concerts.
The audience have the obligation to wear the wristbands during the festival, on their wrist or for justified reasons, in a visible spot, with the condition that the wristband won’t be able to be taken off. The festival organizers have the right to check the wristbands at the entrance, exit and all over the festival grounds during the festival.
The participants are responsible for any damage of the wristband, or if they lose it.
