As an additional proof of the fact that music is one of the best ways to bring people together, no matter where they come from or what language they speak, the organizers of the two music festivals that will take place this summer in Transylvania decided to launch a joint ticket.
AWAKE, which will take place during the first weekend of September on the Teleki Estate in Gornesti, and Vibe, scheduled for July 6-9 in Targu Mures, are launching today, June 27, a Double Pass with access for both events, at the price of 260 lei.
The common ticket that can be purchased online from www.eventim.ro and it will give those who buy it the chance to participate in both festivals, at a lower price than if they were to buy two separate tickets.
“We want to encourage as many young people as possible to experience the festival life. Basically, this is our common goal: to attract music-loving audiences to live events, to festivals that actually mean much more than just music, “says Laura Coroianu, Managing Partner Emagic and Festival Director, Awake.
“The organizers of VIBE festival want cultural programes in Targu Mures to become more accessible for both the local community, as well as for those who visit the town. To observe and to support the events that give added value to the city, the county and the community! We consider that Vibe and Awake, both being at their first edition, will put the Mureș county back on the map of the best festivals from Romania!”, declared Rés Konrád Gergely, main organiser of VIBE Festival.
AWAKE is a boutique festival that harmoniously combines nature, art and music. Being held in the weekend between the 1st and 3rd of September on the entire Teleki Estate from Gornești, a spectacular park which surrounds the castle of the Teleki family, AWAKE prepares for the art-loving public an interesting art exhibition of big art installations made by Romanian artists and lots of new experiences at each step: Forest Library – a space especially conceived for a moment of relaxation along a good book; Serenity Meadow – the “well being” zone for yoga and pilates trainings or The Experimentalist Brewery – a space designed for finding the suitable beer type for them. Among the areas of interest there will also be a social platform designated for creative initiatives, with interactive work-shops, inspirational conferences and “idea pitching” sessions. Rag’n’Bone Man, the music revelation of the year, will be one of the artists that will assure the soundtrack of the AWAKE story, along with Tom Odell, Dirtyphonics, Aeroplane, Mazde and many others, the complete line-up being available on the site www.awakefestival.ro.
Vibe Festival has a different musical concept in the spotlight, proposing a dynamic line-up of EDM, drum and bass, dubstep, hip-hop and rock. Over 50 artists will perform on the four stages of the festival, arranged behind the Weekend complex, among them being: Borgore, Pendulum – DJ set, Chris Lawer, Wellhello, but also many more artists from Hungary (Riddim Colony, Brains, Margaret Island, Anna & the Barbies etc.) and Romania (Koszika & The Hot Shots, Vecker, Friday Rehab, DJ Shiver etc.). More details about this edition scheduled between the 6th and the 9th of July are available on the site www.vibefestival.ro.
Being at the first edition, both AWAKE and Vibe do nothing but highlight the fact that in Tîrgu Mureș still exists a strong community of live music lovers, the town being put again this year on the musical map of the country, also being a genuine tourist attraction for those who want to discover the beauty of Mures county.
